I read the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and I listen to her podcast quite regularly. I’ve had a false start at a Happiness Project of my own in the past. My goal this time is to consistently update where I’m at and just see where it takes me. I might be taking on too much this year but it’s worth a try.

January

Outer Order

    • Put up a calendar with a current schedule

    • Follow Routines - make notes of adjustments needed

    • Execute scheduled tasks

    • Clean all the spaces thoroughly

    • Declutter Round 1: Clothing, Books, Knick-knacks

    • Follow 1 Minute Rule

    • Update Website

    • Schedule Fixes for Broken Things: Lights, Dishwasher, Hot Water Heater

    • Declutter Round 2: Kitchen (Fridge, Pantry Food, Pots & Pans, Dishes) & Garage

    • Declutter Round 3: Papers/Documents (decide on shredding vs filing vs scanning)

    • Get donation stuff out of the house - Books, Clothing, Housewares, Furnishings

    • Update calendar & schedule & routines for next month

    • Declutter Round 4: Stuff Hidden in Drawers and Cabinets

    • Create a chart for Daily Log
